I am a Certified Professional Midwife practicing in north east Texas.  I have been licensed for a little over one year, now, and I’m slowly building my practice.  I’m interested in opening a birth center in Mt. Pleasant, Texas sometime in the future.

I was previously a certified doula through DONA and began my midwifery training by being a birth assistant to a well-established midwife who later became one of my preceptors during my apprenticeship.

I have 5 children:  the first was born in hospital, the second and third at home, and my twins were born in hospital with my midwife and a doctor in attendance.  I homeschool my children, and my 12 yo daughter has already asked if she can go on a birth with me.  Perhaps I have a future midwife on my hands…
